Sources Reveal: Harry Maguire Exits England National Team Camp

Maguire was withdrawn midway through the second half of England’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil yesterday and had a scan today.

Maguire was making his first start for club or country since February 24. However, he lasted just 67 minutes.

His only other action was in United’s thrilling 4-3 FA Cup victory over Liverpool last weekend.

Despite Gareth Southgate’s initial decision to substitute Maguire, alongside Ben Chilwell, as a precaution, the Man United center back has been ruled out of Tuesday’s friendly against Belgium.

Maguire, meanwhile, has only recently returned from a groin injury. He missed five games over Christmas with the same issue.

The news will be a huge blow for United manager Erik ten Hag, especially with crucial upcoming fixtures ahead, starting with Saturday’s Premier League visit to Brentford.

Manchester United will be hoping to have him fit for the remainder of the season as the Reddevils aims to clinch a Uefa Champions league spot and a possible triumph in the FA Cup.
