Man Utd Are Set To Rival Liverpool For €60m Rated Jarrad Branthwaite Alternative
Portuguese centre-back and fast rising defense power house Goncalo Inacio has re-emerged as a target for Man Utd & Liverpool ahead of the transfer window, with the Portuguese available for £51 million.
Inacio has been widely reported as a long-term target for both English clubs, with scouts tracking his form at Sporting for many months.

According to report from tier 1 journalist Fabrizio Romano; Manchester United and Liverpool have both been monitoring Gonçalo Inácio ahead of the summer transfer window. His release clause is worth €60m. Man United are still discussing internally how many centre-backs they want to bring in — for sure, at least one right-footed.
Why Manchester United wants Gonçalo Inácio
Romano took to Twitter on Monday to explain that both Liverpool and Man United were “monitoring” the 22-year-old, with the understanding that he is available for €60 million (£51m) due to a release clause in his contract.

The Red Devils are set to part ways with Raphael Varane on a free transfer. The Frenchman has announced that he will depart when his contract expires on June 30.
United are on the search for a right-footed centre-back to replace Varane, but Romano reports that the Red Devils could also pursue a left-footed option with Inacio topping their shortlist after being put-off by Everton’s asking price for Branthwaite.
Inacio would be a good player to provide competition for places to Lisandro Martinez, who has become injury-prone in his time at the club.
Inacio is a strong ball-playing centre-back, who has an aerial presence and likes to clear his lines.
His positioning has been a main strength of his game. Inacio would be a good acquisition for the Red Devils as he is only 22 and has room to develop further.
The Portuguese has also had a brilliant fitness record. He has missed only nine games since his breakthrough with Sporting during the 2020/21 season.
