Besiktas Board Makes Final Decision On Antony Santos Deal
Last season was one to forget for Manchester United winger Antony as he netted only twice in the whole campaign as off-field issues dogged him throughout.
He was accused of domestic violence by one of his former partners and was asked by the club not to return before the allegations were addressed.
Upon his return, his minutes got drastically reduced as Alejandro Garnacho shone on the right and even when he got chances, he flattered to deceive.
A lot was expected from him when Erik ten Hag instructed the club to go all out for the Brazilian. The Red Devils eventually agreed a deal with Ajax for a mammoth €95 million.
That trend has continued in pre-season and despite Ten Hag’s unequivocal support, INEOS are of the opinion that the Brazilian is not good enough and needs to be moved on.
However, not many clubs can afford his humongous wages of £200,000 per week (as per Capology) and the Red Devils are destined to incur a huge loss on their initial investment.
There were talks of a potential loan exit to French club Lille but his agent shut those rumours down by stating his client was fully focussed on having a great season at his current home.
