Man Utd Quoted Price For Eriksen Amid Transfer Interest

According to The Athletic, the Dutch giants are keen to re-sign Eriksen, who has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford. However, they must address its financial situation before finalizing any new signings as reports indicate that Ajax may need to offload players to balance their books, which could complicate the deal.
United are open to the idea of offloading Eriksen this summer and are reportedly asking for a transfer fee of at least £5 million for the 32-year-old midfielder. Last season, Eriksen struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup, making just 12 starts in the Premier League and totaling 28 appearances across all competitions.
He is clearly not in the primary plans of Erik ten Hag and hence Ajax are hopeful to bring him back to Amsterdam where he first made a name for himself. Christian Eriksen wants more game time, Ajax could guarantee the Danish veteran more minutes this season.
Man United £5m asking could be a stumbling block for Ajax, with their serious financial constraint. The Dutch side wants him on a lower fee, to meet Eriksen’s salary demands to join them this summer.
Manchester united could budge on their initial asking price of £5m to £3m to allow Eriksen leave this summer.
With competition for places in United’s midfield, along with the impending inclusion of Manuel Ugarte, Eriksen could find it increasingly difficult to secure regular playing time. Hence a move away could be the best option for the Dane.
