Casemiro’s Calf Injury Update Ahead Of Fenerbahçe Clash

Manchester United star Casemiro suffered an injury in his team’s match against Brentford on Saturday.

Casemiro had to come off with what looked like a calf injury in the 85th minute of the game yesterday at Old Trafford and was replaced by Manuel Ugarte.

Manuel Ugarte also suffered an injury setback during the international break with Uruguay against Ecuador.

Against Ecuador, he was played in his conventional defensive midfield role and lasted 80 minutes before succumbing to an injury. Ugarte was forced to start from the bench against Brentford after taking part in a light training session.

Casemiro’s availability against Jose Mourinho Fenerbahçe has not been ruled out yet with sources claiming the injury is not as serious as first perceived.

The United Midfield star will undergo further tests on Monday to determine his position regarding facing Fenerbahce on Thursday, in the European League this Thursday.
