Manchester United Receives Time Frame for Ruben Amorim
Ruben Amorim is hesitant to leave Sporting mid-season, despite interest from Manchester United following the sacking of Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese coach is considered one of the candidates as the struggling Old Trafford club looks to determine its next steps after yet another defeat.

The 39-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s top coaches and is now considered Pep Guardiola’s most likely successor at Manchester City, having previously praised the Spaniard as “a reference for all managers.”
United were hesitant to make a mid-season change, as doing so could raise the total cost of replacing Ten Hag to over £30 million. The club has been compelled to reevaluate their options, especially since poor results persisted after the new Ineos football leadership chose to continue with the Dutch coach at the beginning of the month.
Ruben Amorim meets more criteria on Ineos’ checklist than any other candidate. He is a strong contender due to his age, ability to work within a club hierarchy, and recent successful track record, which are considered attractive qualities for United.
Ruben Amorim has been asked about Manchester United links in the last hour: “I was already expecting this question and obviously I’m not going to talk about the future, because otherwise I’ll always have to comment. I’m very proud to be Sporting coach, that’s all.”
Manchester United will find Sporting a hard nut to crack, especially with Ruben Amorim leaving in the winter, which is not ideal for the club’s structure, but he could only depart in the summer.
