Manchester United Offered Joshua Zirkzee’s Lifeline
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres following Ruben Amorim’s arrival from the Portuguese giants and their hopes of a deal have been handed a boost.
According to The Mirror, Manchester United has been told that Sporting Lisbon has “no option” but to sell Viktor Gyokeres.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Swedish striker following the arrival of his former boss Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. The new United boss has already ensured that he will steer clear in January out of respect for his former side.
Ruben Amorim wants to give every player a chance to prove their worth under him before a final decision on their future transfer is made.
Joshua Zirkzee is one of the players who could get a fair chance under the Portuguese head coach. It has been a difficult start for The Dutchman at Old Trafford since his summer move from Bologna in Italy.
Manchester United had high hopes for Zirkzee and splashed a whooping sum of £37 million to acquire his services this term. United’s are hopeful for an improvement under Amorim’s tenure.

According to Portuguese sources, Manchester United has reportedly been given the opportunity to acquire one of Europe’s hottest prospects, Viktor Gyokeres, next summer.
Joshua Zirkzee could become a part of that deal for the Swedish striker if he fails to show positive signs and improvement under Ruben Amorim.
Gyokeres has been in sensational form for Sporting since he arrived from Championship side Coventry. The 26-year-old has scored 66 goals in just 68 games in all competitions for the Portuguese giants.
Juventus are also said to be showing strong interest in the Dutchman and a move in January is in the cards for the Man United summer signing.
