Revealed: Dan Ashworth’s Man United Pay Off

Manchester United Parts Ways with Dan Ashworth
Manchester United has surprisingly parted ways with Dan Ashworth, just five months after appointing him as sporting director.
The club had paid a significant compensation package, reportedly worth £2-£3 million, to secure his services from Newcastle United.
Ashworth’s exit comes on the heels of Manchester United’s disappointing 3-2 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Following the loss, Ashworth met with chief executive Omar Berrada, and his departure was agreed upon.
Despite the significant effort and compensation paid to bring Ashworth on board, his relationship with INEOS owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly deteriorated. Ratcliffe was unimpressed with Ashworth’s decisions, labeling them “mediocre.”
No Immediate Compensation Payment
Manchester United will not be required to pay the remaining portion of Ashworth’s contract, despite his early departure.
However, it remains to be seen if the club will be obligated to pay further compensation, potentially paving the way for an immediate replacement for the vacant sporting director role.
