The FA Takes FINAL Decision On Alejandro Garnacho’s Post
REASONS BEHIND THE POSSIBLE SANCTION
Alejandro Garnacho posted an image on X after Manchester United’s win against Copenhagen in the Uefa Champions League, courtesy of Andre Onana’s heroics with a gorilla caption.
After being alerted to the potential racial connotations of the X (formerly known as Twitter) post, Garnacho edited and then deleted his message. However, the United winger was posed with a possible sanction from the FA who made contact with the youngster to inquire about his “comments” on the matter.
Andrè Onana instantly took to his social media handle to defend Alejandro Garnacho and block a possible sanction against him.
Onana’s support and firm opinion that the matter “should go no further” played a pivotal role in helping Garnacho’s cause on the issue.may help Garnacho’s cause, but it still remains to be seen what action, if any, the FA will decide to take on the matter.
