Former United Academy Star Offer His Services to Amorim

In a surprising turn of events, former Manchester United academy graduate Federico Macheda has expressed his desire to return to Old Trafford and offer his services to the club.

The 33-year-old Italian striker, who currently plays for Panathinaikos in Greece, believes he has what it takes to play for Manchester United in the Premier League.

In a recent interview, Macheda confidently stated that he could still play for Manchester United, saying: “Now? At 33? I think I could play there. Yes. Do better? I don’t know. I must say it’s not easy to play for Manchester United now but I think I could still play there.”

Macheda, who rose through the ranks of Manchester United’s academy before making his professional debut in 2009, is eager to prove himself once again at the highest level.

He believes that his experience playing in the Premier League, albeit several years ago, would be an asset to the team.

“As a player, I can see myself playing there at the moment. A couple of games if Ruben Amorim needs me! I know the Premier League level. It’s very difficult but I could play there. Why not?” Macheda added.

While Macheda’s offer may seem unlikely to come to fruition, it’s a testament to his confidence and desire to return to the top level of English football.

Manchester United, currently struggling to find consistency under Ruben Amorim, may be tempted to take a chance on a player with Macheda’s experience and knowledge of the club.

Federico Macheda history with Manchester United

Federico Macheda is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker. Born on August 22, 1991, in Rome, Italy, Macheda rose to prominence during his time at Manchester United.

Macheda joined Manchester United’s youth academy in 2007, at the age of 16, and quickly impressed with his goalscoring ability.

He made his professional debut for the club in 2009, coming on as a substitute against Aston Villa and scoring a stunning winning goal.

That debut goal sparked a lot of excitement among United fans, who hoped that Macheda would become a regular goal-scorer for the team.

However, despite showing promise, Macheda struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at United.

During his time at Old Trafford, Macheda had loan spells at several clubs, including Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers, and Stuttgart. In 2014, he left Manchester United permanently, joining Cardiff City.

Since then, Macheda has played for several clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Novara, and Panathinaikos.

While he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype surrounding his debut, Macheda remains a talented player who has had a respectable career in football.
