Man Utd Sources Reacts to Madrid’s Mega Offer for Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a potential transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid, though a reported £90 million move is viewed as highly improbable.

At 30, Fernandes faces a pivotal juncture in his career, with time running short to await another prolonged rebuild at United.
Despite his contract extending until 2027, an exit remains feasible if a suitable bid emerges.
Real Madrid, reportedly exploring options to offset Luka Modrić’s imminent departure—with the 39-year-old’s contract expiring this summer—have been loosely connected to the Portuguese midfielder.
However, journalist Paco González of Cadena COPE has dismissed the likelihood of such a deal, citing Real’s strategic preference for younger signings and financial prudence under president Florentino Pérez:
“Madrid paying £90m for a 30-year-old, given their focus on amortising costs and targeting youth, seems impossible. If he were a free agent, maybe—but not for that fee.”
Manchester United, meanwhile, would demand a significant sum for their captain, given his central role in the squad.
Sources suggest new manager Rúben Amorim views Fernandes as integral to his project, further complicating any potential departure.
While Fernandes may seek silverware beyond Old Trafford, the financial and age-related barriers make a move to Madrid appear unrealistic at this stage.
