Man Utd Offered Antony Player Swap Deal by Betis
Reports suggest Manchester United is exploring a potential swap deal for Johnny Cardoso, despite Tottenham Hotspur having already reached an agreement for the LaLiga star.

Cardoso, a 23-year-old defensive midfielder, has been impressive for Real Betis, making 40 appearances and scoring four goals this season.
Cardoso broke through at Internacional in Brazil before joining Real Betis in a €6 million deal in January 2024.
He has established himself as one of Spain’s top defensive midfielders, known for his strong tackling and ability to win duels while retaining possession.
Tottenham’s First Refusal Option
Cardoso confirmed that Spurs has first refusal to sign him this summer for €25 million (£21 million/$28.5 million) as part of a deal agreed upon when Spurs sold Giovani Lo Celso to Betis last year.
However, Spurs has yet to activate this option, leaving the door open for Manchester United to pursue the player.
Potential Swap Deal

United is considering a formal approach to Betis for Cardoso, potentially including Antony in a swap deal. Antony has thrived on loan at Betis, and the Spanish club is interested in signing him permanently.
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim would reportedly be happy to part ways with Antony, especially if they can acquire a top player like Cardoso.
Cardoso is one of several midfielders Manchester United is considering to replace Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils have been scouting him in recent weeks and may make a formal approach to Betis.
Manchester United’s are putting efforts to strengthen their midfield and address past disappointments, such as the £82 million signing of Antony, which hasn’t yielded the expected results.
