Man United Offered a Chance to Sign PSG Striker

Manchester United have reportedly been presented with an opportunity to sign Portuguese international striker Goncalo Ramos.

Paris Saint-Germain have informed the player’s representatives that he is free to leave the club this summer.

According to transfer insider Graeme Bailey, Ramos’s camp has been actively engaging with clubs across Europe and in the Saudi Pro League, sounding out interest for the 23-year-old forward.

This development comes as PSG appear willing to sanction a departure for Ramos, who joined the French champions initially on loan in 2023 before making the move permanent for a fee that could rise to £65 million.

Ramos’s time in Paris has seen him struggle for consistent starts, often finding himself behind other attacking options.

Despite contributing 18 goals and six assists in all competitions for PSG last season, including a late hat-trick against Montpellier in Ligue 1 and three goals in the Champions League, he has not fully established himself as a regular in Luis Enrique’s plans.

Manchester United’s interest in Ramos is not new. Bailey indicates that the Portuguese striker had previously shown strong interest in a move to Old Trafford before his transfer to PSG.

With United actively seeking to bolster their attacking options this summer, the availability of Ramos presents a compelling proposition.

While United have already secured the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, a central forward remains a priority for the club, especially amidst ongoing discussions around Rasmus Hojlund’s development.

The reported asking price for Ramos is around £50 million, which could be a sticking point for United unless negotiations can lower the fee.
