Man United Set Mbeumo Deal Deadline

Manchester United ‘Set Deadline’ for Bryan Mbeumo Deal as Red Devils Aim to End Transfer Saga This Week

Manchester United are reportedly ready to bring their protracted pursuit of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo to a swift conclusion, having set a firm deadline of the end of the week to secure his signature.

The Red Devils are eager to finalize their second major summer signing and integrate Mbeumo into Ruben Amorim’s squad before pre-season training officially kicks off on Monday, July 7th.

The Old Trafford club has identified Mbeumo as a top priority to bolster their attacking options, particularly on the flanks.

This comes after successfully securing the services of Matheus Cunha from Wolves earlier in the window.

Negotiations with Brentford have proven challenging, with the West London club holding firm on their valuation of the Cameroonian international.

United have already seen two bids rejected, with their latest offer reportedly in the region of £62.5 million (an initial £55 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons) falling short of Brentford’s demands.

However, sources close to the negotiations suggest that United are preparing a third, improved bid believed to be around £65 million, which they are confident will meet Brentford’s asking price and finally seal the deal.

Mbeumo himself is understood to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur, who recently appointed his former Brentford boss Thomas Frank.

The 25-year-old enjoyed his most prolific season to date, netting 20 goals in the Premier League, and is seen as a perfect fit for Amorim’s tactical system.

Brentford, while naturally reluctant to lose a key player, appear to be making contingency plans for Mbeumo’s departure. Reports indicate they are close to signing Feyenoord attacking midfielder Antoni Milambo.

The clock is ticking for Manchester United to wrap up this transfer saga. With pre-season on the horizon, the club is determined to ensure Mbeumo is available from day one to allow him to fully integrate with his new teammates and the manager’s philosophy.

All eyes will be on the developments over the next few days as United push to meet their self-imposed deadline.
