Borussia Dortmund Full-back eyes Manchester United move
The full-back for Borussia Dortmund Ramy Bensebaini has revealed his desire to join Manchester United.
The Algerian international, who is currently in his third season with Dortmund, has expressed his admiration for the Premier League club and his desire to play at Old Trafford.
Bensebaini, who is widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga, has been a key player for Dortmund since joining from Mönchengladbach in 2020.
He has made over 100 appearances for the club, scoring 8 goals and providing 10 assists. His performances have caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Manchester United.
In an interview with a French sports magazine, Bensebaini said that it is ‘a dream for me to play for Manchester United’. He added that he has been impressed by the club’s history, tradition, and culture, and that he believes they have ‘a bright future’. Bensebaini also spoke about his desire to play in the Premier League, saying that it is ‘the best league in the world.
It’s unclear whether Manchester United has any interest in signing Bensebaini. The club currently has Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their first-choice left-backs, but Bensebaini’s versatility could make him an attractive option.
He is also capable of playing at right-back or as a wing-back, which could appeal to United’s new manager, Erik ten Hag who is a big fan of versatility.
Despite his desire to join Manchester United, Bensebaini is currently focused on helping Dortmund to succeed in the Bundesliga and the Champions League. Ramy Bensebaini admits that he is ‘open to a new challenge’ if the right opportunity arises.
