Bruno Fernandes Responds To Rumoured Saudi Arabia Links
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reaffirmed his commitment to the club despite rumours linking him with a switch to Saudi Arabia.
News in Spain has named Fernandes as the next big prey for the Saudi Pro League, with proposals of €100m (£87.5m) rumoured to be arriving on United’s desk imminently.
While Fernandes did not firmly rule out a transfer, he made it clear he is not entertaining rumours and confirmed he remains fully focused on succeeding with both United and Portugal.
“Being coveted is always good, regardless of the league and the club,” he told a press conference. “But my focus is on the national team and Manchester United, I’m happy where I am.
“In the national team, we are in a very good moment. At Manchester United, we didn’t start the way we wanted, but I don’t think about the long term.
“I don’t look much at market rumours, they’re things I’ve never wanted to see. Until the moment something concrete comes to me, I don’t care what I see. It’s very easy for rumours to spread in the press. I prefer to be focused on my goals.”
Bruno Fernandes, who turned 29 in September, remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2026, so United are under no direct pressure to engage proposals for their skipper, who is loving life at Manchester.
