Everton Eyes Move for ‘Outgoing’ Man United Ace

Everton are reportedly monitoring the situation of Swedish international defender Victor Lindelof, who is set to become a free agent this summer upon the expiry of his contract with Manchester United.

The Toffees are understood to be looking to bolster their defensive options, and the prospect of acquiring a Premier League-proven player on a free transfer is proving to be an attractive proposition.

Lindelof, 30, will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the 2024/2025 season, with Manchester United having confirmed he will leave the club. While he hasn’t been a regular starter in recent seasons, injuries and increased competition for places have limited his game time.

However, his experience at the highest level, including significant appearances for Manchester United and captaining the Swedish national team, makes him a valuable target for clubs seeking defensive reinforcement.

Everton, who are anticipated to be active in the upcoming transfer window as they prepare for their move to the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, are believed to be keen on bringing in players who can contribute immediately.

Lindelof’s versatility, capable of playing both at centre-back and occasionally at right-back, would offer valuable depth to manager Sean Dyche’s squad.
