Man United Offered Swap Deal For Antony Santos

Antony Santos could leave Man United in January with the United hierarchy ready to offload a number of players.

One of those predicaments for Amorim will be the future of big-money winger Antony at Man United, who has failed to live up to his price tag.

The Brazilian arrived under Erik ten Hag after also impressing at Ajax, but he simply hasn’t been able to replicate that promise in Manchester.

TBR Football understands Man United might explore using Antony as part of a January bid for young Flamengo star Lorran.

They also reveal that Lorran has a €50m (£43m) contract at Flamengo and that, in encouragement to Man Utd, the Brazilian club ‘would be willing to accept a lower price in January’.

The Red Devils need to be a bit smarter with their recruitment after a difficult period post-Sir Alex Ferguson, with vast amounts of money wasted on under-performers like Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Antony.

Lorran looks like the kind of up-and-coming talent MUFC need to be signing before other top clubs, with this Brazilian teenager surely set for a big future in the game.

United will be hoping they can now really enter a new era under new manager Ruben Amorim, who will also be working under a new-look board with experienced football recruitment figures like Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox.
