Man United Open Official Talks for Electric Forward
Manchester United’s attacking woes this season have been glaringly evident.
With Alejandro Garnacho struggling to find consistent form, the team has lacked a reliable threat on the left wing.
The temporary departures of Marcus Rashford (on loan) and Antony have further depleted Ruben Amorim’s attacking options, leaving the wing positions unstable and unproductive.
Compounding the issue, Rasmus Hojlund’s inability to pose a consistent goal threat has added to the Red Devils’ concerns up front.
The lack of goals has made United’s attack predictable, with a noticeable absence of creativity.
This has forced the club to explore reinforcements in the transfer market. According to reports from Africa Foot, citing information from the player’s agent, Manchester United have opened talks to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, who has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most underrated attackers this season.
Since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023, the Ghanaian international has been in excellent form, contributing nine goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
His versatility to operate across the forward line, combined with his ability to both score and create, has made him an attractive target for several top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United.
Reports suggest that Manchester United have tabled an initial offer of €40 million for the 25-year-old winger.
However, Bournemouth are reportedly holding out for €50 million, a figure that could be negotiable if United are determined to secure his services.
With Chelsea and Tottenham also closely monitoring Semenyo’s situation, the competition for his signature is expected to be intense.
