Manchester United Set to Announce Trio of New Sponsorship Deals
Manchester United’s commercial department is firing on all cylinders, with Chief Business Officer Mark Armstrong reportedly telling staff that the club is on the verge of announcing three new sponsorship deals.
The news comes from a report by Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, which suggests a significant financial boost for the club.
The Coca-Cola Company has already been confirmed as the club’s new Official Carbonated Soft Drinks Partner in the UK and Europe.
This three-year agreement will see Coca-Cola products sold at Old Trafford and will involve fan-focused digital content and activations. The new partnership highlights the club’s continued ability to attract global brands despite recent on-field challenges.
The Coca-Cola deal is just the tip of the iceberg. According to Armstrong, two more major sponsorship agreements are in the pipeline and will be announced shortly.
The report from The Athletic suggests that Armstrong and his team have been working diligently over the past five months to secure these deals, which are collectively worth over £70 million.
This flurry of commercial activity is the ambitious plans of the club’s new leadership under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS. With the recent appointment of Armstrong, a highly respected commercial operator formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, the club is clearly focused on maximizing its revenue streams.
The new sponsorship deals, combined with the existing lucrative partnerships with Snapdragon and Adidas, will provide a vital financial foundation for the club’s on-field ambitions, including potential stadium redevelopment and player transfers.
