Man United Star Suffers Injury Set-back

Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford Expected to Miss Rest of Season with Hamstring Injury

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has confirmed that Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has sustained a hamstring injury, which may rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Rashford picked up the injury during training earlier this week and has been ruled out of action for “a few weeks” which means he’s out for the remainder of the season.

According to David Ornstein, further tests are being conducted to determine the severity of the injury, but it’s expected that Rashford won’t require surgery. He’ll undergo rehabilitation at Aston Villa.

Impact on Aston Villa’s SeasonRashford’s absence will significantly impact Aston Villa’s chances of securing a Champions League spot.

The team currently sits in seventh place, three points behind fifth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot. With only four games left, Aston Villa’s fixtures will be crucial in determining their final position.

Rashford’s Performance at Aston Villa

Since joining Aston Villa on loan in January, Rashford has made 17 appearances, scoring four goals and providing six assists. His absence will be deeply felt, and Ollie Watkins will likely lead the line in his absence.

Aston Villa has the option to make Rashford’s move permanent in the summer for £40 million. However, Emery has stated that the club won’t consider this until the season is over.

Rashford’s future remains uncertain, with potential interest from other clubs, including Newcastle United and Barcelona.
