Man United Teams News & Injury Update Ahead Of Aston Villa Clash
Manchester United face another tough test this weekend as they travel to Villa Park for a mouth-watering encounter with an in-form Unai Emery side.
With a series of results not going in United’s way these past weeks, Ten Hag is under serious pressure to deliver a positive response on Sunday afternoon.
The Aston Villa could be considered a make-or-break for the Dutch Manager. A possible sack could be inevitable for Ten Hag should Man United fall-short of a win against Aston Villa.
Manchester United earned a hard-fought draw against FC Porto in mid-week, thanks to Harry Maguire’s late header to ensure United didn’t Portugal without a point and hampering their progression in the new Europa League format.
While Aston Villa earned a historic victory against Bayern Munich in their Uefa Champions League clash on Wednesday night after Duran came off the bench to give the host the lead which turned out to be the match winner.
Manchester United’s Team News Against Aston Villa

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has provided the latest team news ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
Erik Ten Hag said: “So we had three players with issues going into this game,” began the boss when quizzed on the current state of his squad.
“Harry Maguire, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. Harry and Alejandro made the squad and could play some minutes, whereas Mainoo didn’t. It was too big a risk.
“We have to wait and see if he [Mainoo] can play on Sunday. If he is fit enough to start or be on the bench.”
Mason Mount did not travel to Porto earlier this week as a precaution, and it remains to be seen whether the England international is fit enough to make the squad this weekend.
Rasmus Hojlund returned from injury to score his first competitive goal of the season yesterday evening, smashing home past Diogo Costa.
Garnacho and Maguire also contributed to the six-goal thriller, so we expect the trio to be considered ahead of the Sunday clash with Emery’s side.
Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Victor Lindelof are all said to be continuing in their own individual recoveries, while Leny Yoro remains a long-term absentee for the Reds.
