Man Utd ‘Close To Finalizing Agreement For £34m Star

According to a report from Football Insider, Manchester United want to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and they are interested in adding Joshua Zirkzee to their squad. The Red Devils are in talks with the player’s representatives and are closing in on his signature.

Zirkzee came into the limelight when he made his debut for Bayern Munich as a teenager almost five years back. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for him at the German club and he ended up joining Bologna in a deal worth £7.2 million in 2022.

He has gone from strength to strength since making the move to the Italian club. In the recently concluded season, the Dutch striker featured in 37 matches and contributed towards 19 goals (12 goals, 9 assists). His performances have resulted in a lot of interest and Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on signing him.

The Premier League giants are discussing terms with the 23-year-old’s camp and weighing up whether to activate his £33.8million release clause.

Old Trafford chiefs are now set to continue talks over a deal for Zirkzee, whose contract with Bologna is due to expire in 2026.
