Man Utd Defender to Exit this Summer after not being Part of Amorim’s Plan

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is poised to make significant changes to his squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Amorim is likely to part ways with players who do not fit his tactical approach. Key figures such as Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Victor Lindelof are all expected to leave the club once the season concludes.

According to reports from Birmingham World, two Championship clubs have expressed interest in signing Manchester United defender Jonny Evans this summer.

The 37-year-old’s current contract with United is set to expire at the end of the season, and Amorim has decided against offering him a new deal.

Evans was brought in by former manager Erik ten Hag and played a significant role under the Dutchman, largely due to the team’s injury crisis.

However, under Amorim, the veteran defender has made just two appearances, leading the Portuguese manager to conclude that Evans does not have a place in his plans for the upcoming season.

West Bromwich Albion, Evans’ former club, and Sheffield United are both keen on acquiring the experienced defender this summer.

Evans, who has no plans to retire, believes he can continue playing, albeit at a level below the Premier League.

While Evans’ signing was not universally praised by United fans, his presence proved valuable in helping the club navigate through a difficult period marked by injuries.
