Man Utd Intensify Contact For Bournemouth Full-Back As Shaw’s Alternative
Manchester United are guaranteed to bring in a new left-back in the summer transfer window following last season injury problems.
The Red Devils have many areas of the squad they wish to strengthen and a limited budget.
While some deals will have to be put on the back burner, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano highlighted a vital priority.
The Red Devils know they cannot have another season without a fit and firing left-back.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia struggled with injuries all of last season and are still not fully fit.
United will target the likes of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, who played 33 times last season.

The 20-year-old fullback has been identified as a potential option to provide competition and cover for Luke Shaw, who was injured for the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign.
Shaw was rushed back from a minor knock in February. Tyrell Malacia did not make a single appearance last season, either.
Kerkez joined the Cherries from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for an undisclosed fee and made 33 appearances for Andoni Iraola’s overachieving side last season.
Kerkez would likely compete with Shaw for a starting spot, while Malacia may go out on loan.
Kerkez is confident in his ability to reach the highest level but recently explained that he leaves the transfer speculation to his agents.
Speaking to BBC Radio Solent in April 2024 about the reported interest in him, the defender said: “I am not occupied with transfer news.
“The people who take care of me deal with all of that. I am only focused on Bournemouth and my performances here.
