Man Utd Open Talks For PSG Talisman

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

Ugarte joined the Ligue 1 champions from Sporting CP last summer for £52million.

The holding midfielder, 23, made 37 appearances in all competitions last season and registered three assists. 

He is currently at the Copa America with Uruguay and started in their opening match, a 3-1 win over Panama. United’s interest has been reported by Sky Sport.

The Red Devils are keen to sign a central midfielder this summer.

It is one of three positions that are a priority to new chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe – along with a new centre-back and striker.

Ugarte, 23, is one of the midfielders on Man Utd’s radar and L’Equipe claim they have seen an offer rejected.

It is believed that PSG do not want to sell after also recently turning down interest from Juventus.

The Parisians will not consider offers less than the £50million they paid for him.
