Man Utd Receive Benjamin Sesko Transfer Deadline
Benjamin Sesko Demands Swift Resolution to His Future

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is pushing for a decisive outcome regarding his club future within the next week, as speculation intensifies around a potential summer transfer.
The highly-rated Slovenian international has attracted significant interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United and Newcastle United, eager to bolster their attacking options.
Sesko, 22, is reportedly keen to settle his club situation swiftly as pre-season preparations gather pace. While he remains under contract with RB Leipzig until 2029, a “gentleman’s agreement” is understood to be in place, allowing for a summer departure if the right offer and project materialize.
Recent reports suggest that RB Leipzig have lowered their asking price for the prolific forward, with figures in the region of €70m to €80m (£61m to £70m) plus add-ons now being circulated.
This revised valuation comes after initial demands were reportedly higher, leading to Arsenal pursuing Viktor Gyokeres instead.
Manchester United are among the frontrunners, with manager Ruben Amorim keen to add another striker to his new-look attack, which already includes new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Despite Sesko having previously turned down a move to Old Trafford in 2023, citing a preference for a similar playing style to his then-club, Red Bull Salzburg, United are reportedly still keen on his signature.
However, reports also indicate that Sesko’s past comments and a potentially high price tag may make a move to the Red Devils less straightforward.
Newcastle United have also emerged as strong contenders, particularly if their star striker Alexander Isak departs this summer. The Magpies have explored the conditions of a deal for Sesko, seeing him as a potential marquee replacement.
His agent, Elvis Basanovic, has previously stated that Sesko will only move to a “special club” with a “special project and a special coach.”
Despite the mounting speculation, Leipzig remain relatively relaxed about Sesko’s situation.
They are confident that if a substantial offer isn’t met, they will retain one of the Bundesliga’s most promising young strikers.
There are also suggestions within Leipzig that Sesko could yet stay for another season, especially with the expected sale of Xavi Simons potentially easing financial concerns.
