Man Utd Target Turns Down Tottenham’s Offer

Tottenham Hotspur have failed in their attempt to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

Tottenham are expected to make quite a few signings in the upcoming transfer window as they look to take the next step under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou.

They want to bring in a new centre-back and Tosin Adarabioyo is one of their targets.

But, according to Spurs insider Paul O Keefe, the Fulham defender has turned down an offer from the North London club.

Adarabioyo who has made quite a name for himself with his impressive performances for the Cottagers is expected to be on the move in the summer.

His contract with Fulham runs out at the end of the season and he doesn’t seem interested in extending his stay at the club.

Manchester United register interest in Adarabioyo

With the 26-year-old centre-back available for free, there is no shortage of interest in his services. He has a lot of experience of playing in the Premier League and is still in his prime which is why top clubs are keen on his signature.

With INEOS being forced to work with a limited budget due to financial fair play regulations this summer, The Times say they are looking at a few players with one year left on their contract as well as free agents.

One of the names on their list is Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo. The former Manchester City academy defender has established himself at Fulham, impressing fans and pundits alike with his composed performances.

The 26-year-old is set to depart Craven Cottage this summer upon the end of his contract. Naturally, a number of clubs, including United and Tottenham Hotspur, are monitoring Adarabioyo with United having more advantage.

According to HITC Football, United are aiming to take advantage of his refusal to sign a new contract at Craven Cottage and snap the centre-back up on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

Victor Lindelöf, Raphael Varane’s future is uncertain, and Harry Maguire may leave the club at the end of the season.

Interestingly, United may also use Jason Wilcox’s past relationship with Adarabioyo in their favour. The club’s new technical director oversaw the player’s development during his time as City’s head of academy.
