Manchester United Are lining Up A Move For Argentine Center Back In January
Manchester United have been on a Center-Back hunt for the upcoming transfer with injuries piling up at the back for the Reds.
A list of preferred candidates has been drawn with Facundo Medina now part of the growing list. Lisandro could prove climacteric if Manchester United decides to do a deal for Medina and take him away from Lens.
The French club are open to selling Argentine amid interest from the Premier League and other nations, asking price of €25million affixed to his name. Facundo Medina’s agents have weighed up a possible transfer for the Argentine in the January transfer window with various clubs keen on his signature.
Medina has been a key performer in Lens’ advancement in French football since he arrived from Talleres in the summer of 2020. His performances on the pitch, particularly this season, have made him a humdinger figure in the team.
The 24-year-old has featured in 104 matches for his side across four campaigns so far. He is also competent to play at left-back. Medina scored his first goal for Lens in their 4-0 win vs. Nantes last week, having been involved in the entire build-up to the goal as Lens ran out 4-0 winners.
Medina just signed a contract extension until 2026 but Lens are still ready to listen to others for him. The player helped Franck Haise’s men to a superb season in 2022/23, where they missed out on the title to Paris Saint-Germain by a single point.
Manchester United could see their defensive woes come to an end if they end up getting Facundo Medina recruited to the club in January.
