Manchester United Stun Southampton with Late Comeback
Amad Diallo’s sensational hat-trick in the final eight minutes of the match propelled Manchester United to a thrilling 3-1 victory over Southampton on Thursday.
Despite being outplayed for much of the game, the Red Devils capitalized on their chances to snatch an unlikely win.
Southampton, who had struggled to find the back of the net in recent fixtures, created several scoring opportunities throughout the match.
However, they were only able to capitalize on one of these chances, taking a well-deserved lead in the 43rd minute.
This advantage would ultimately prove short-lived.
Amad Diallo, Manchester United’s standout performer this season, emerged as the hero once again.
Benefiting from a fortunate bounce of the ball, the in-form winger equalized with a well-placed shot underneath Aaron Ramsdale.
This goal sparked a dramatic turnaround in the match.
In the final minute of normal time, Amad Diallo struck again, combining with Christian Eriksen to volley Manchester United into the lead.
The 22-year-old then sealed the win in stoppage time, pouncing on a mistake by Taylor Harwood-Bellis to score his third goal and complete an incredible comeback.
