Manutd Plots Player Plus Cash To Lower Michael Olise Transfer Fee
Michael Olise would be open to a summer transfer to Manchester United should the Red Devils firm up their interest for the crystal palace winger.
Olise is a transfer target for United this summer as he was admired by both the old and new regimes at Old Trafford following Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ onboarding.
Manchester United could shift several players as many as 11 at the end of the season.
United forward Anthony Martial will leave when his contract expires, winger Antony could be sold, Casemiro future remains uncertain and midfielder Christian Eriksen’s future is up in the air, and a versatile player like Olise would help cover the creative void from some or all of those departures.
The 22-year-old has battled through this season with various injury problems, but has remained one of Crystal Palace’s best players whenever fit.
Olise signed a new contract with Palace last summer. The Frenchman’s new contract is believed to contain another release clause which is close to his market value, standing between £50m and £60m.
While United would be prepared to pay the release clause, the Daily Star are reporting that the club will only do so as a last resort and are exploring ways to lower the cash value of the deal.

Manchester United could offer former Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a make weight to land Michael Olise for a relatively lower transfer fee.
The situation has changed somewhat, however, with United having triggered a one-year extension option in Wan-Bissaka’s contract last month.
He was due to be out of contract in the summer, when he could have left Old Trafford on a free transfer, but is now tied to the club until the summer of 2025.
Not only does that stop Palace from trying to sign the 26-year-old on a free transfer, as they were considering doing, but it also allows United to use him as a bargaining chip in negotiations for Olise.
