Michael Olise ‘Makes Choice’ Between Man Utd and Chelsea As Palace Prepare For His Departure

Chelsea remain interested in signing Michael Olise in the summer transfer window.

According to football london the Crystal Palace winger would favour a move to Manchester United, with the Red Devils also interested.

Despite being part of Chelsea’s youth system from the ages of seven to fourteen, Michael Olise has been a long-standing fan of Manchester United.

His journey through the ranks of Chelsea did not sway his allegiance, showcasing his dedication to Manchester United despite his professional affiliations.

This interesting dynamic adds a layer of complexity to Olise’s career, highlighting the often personal and passionate nature of football fandom that exists even among the sport’s professionals.

His unique story illustrates how early club influences do not necessarily define one’s ultimate loyalties in the world of football.

The 22-year-old is aware of interest from the Blues and United and is widely expected to leave Palace at the end of the season.

Chelsea activated Olise’s £35million release clause last summer and the winger looked set to move to Stamford Bridge. However, Olise then penned a new four-year contract at Selhurst Park.

Olise now has a new release clause in his latest contract with the Eagles that becomes active this summer.

The exact figure of the clause remains unknown at this stage, though, but is expected to be considerably more than £35million.

Man United are understood to be keeping a very close eye on Olise and his situation ahead of a summer move.

Olise had been tipped to become one of the first signings of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era, though due to United’s Financial Fair Play constraints, it is unlikely that they will make a move until one of Sancho, Greenwood or Antony have been sold.
