More Injury Woes: Ten Hag Admits Six More Players Set To Be Assessed Over Fitness Issues Ahead Of Wednesday

Manchester United return to Premier League action against Sheffield United on wednesday at old trafford, as their ongoing injury crisis continues.

Manchester United have been dealt fresh injury concerns after Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay were forced off during Sunday’s dramatic FA Cup semi-final over Coventry.

Rashford was replaced by Amad Diallo on Sunday and was seen limping post-match.

McTominay was also substituted after holding his groin in discomfort while Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat missed out entirely.

Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho are also growing concerns with Erik Ten Hag stating in his press conference that both of them are currently struggling with fitness issues.

Marcus Rashford

Rashford was substituted in second-half injury time and was spotted limping in the mixed zone after United’s victory and he’s expected to be out on wednesday night.

Willy Kambwala

United youngster Willy Kambwala is another kept out to the sidelines due to discomfort.

The 19-year-old centre-back was absent for the semi-final, with midfielder Casemiro forced to start in defence alongside Harry Maguire.

Scott McTominay

McTominay was in race against time and featured in the starting line-up on Sunday after suffering from a minor knee injury. 

He opened the scoring but was substituted in extra-time by Omari Forson, after clutching his groin.

He was pictured limping through the mixed zone post-game, and United fans now eagerly await an update on his fitness.

Sofyan Amrabat

The Fiorentina loanne was also absent at Wembley after not travelling to London.

The exact nature of his issue has not been known.

Jonny Evans

Evans has not been featured since United’s loss against Chelsea.

The club has confirmed he is suffering with a “short-term” muscle issue.

Victor Lindelof

Lindelof has been sidelined since damaging his hamstring during United’s 1-1 draw at Brentford last month.

Manchester United confirmed that he should return to action at the beginning of May.

Lisandro Martinez

The Argentine has only managed seven Premier League starts this season and sustained a calf strain in training at the beginning of the month. Lisandro have sent some hopeful messages to United fans on his social media handle.

Raphael Varane

Varane has been unavailable since picking up a muscle injury against Chelsea.Manchester United confirmed that the French World Cup winner “is aiming to be back in action before the end of the season.

Luke Shaw

The left-back suffered a muscle injury against Luton in February and has not featured since. In March, Ten Hag revealed that he hoped Shaw could return by the end of the season. Luke Shaw could be fit for the FA Cup finals.

Anthony Martial

The French forward received surgery for a groin injury in January and has not been fit since. He was supposed to return after 10 weeks, but is only just back in training.

Tyrell Malacia

The defender has not played a single minute this season due to a major knee injury last summer, which has since seen him suffer multiple setbacks.

In March the Dutch boss said: “I think it’s going to be difficult for him this season to be available. He will fight, he’s back on the pitch, but not in the team and the process had some setbacks for him and he’s still going forwards really slowly and the season is coming to an end.

Manchester United have been ravaged with over fifty different injuries to senior players this season and could be handicapped on Wednesday night.
