Palmeiras President Reveals New Asking Price For Richard Rios Amid Man Utd Interest
Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Richard Rios‘ representatives who impressed for Colombia at the last Copa America.

Colombia were the surprise package at the Copa America in the United States as they reached the final of the prestigious tournament, however, they lost in heartbreaking fashion to an extra-time winner from Lautaro Martinez.
Regardless, Nestor Lorenzo’s players like Rios – who plies his club trade for Palmeiras – among others caught the eye of multiple top clubs with a summer move in mind.
Manchester United are one such club that have been impressed by the 24-year-old according to reports from GOAL Brazil that the Red Devils have already made first contact with the central midfielder’s representatives.
The sources have suggested that Erik ten Hag’s side are prepared a £17 million ($21.9m) bid for the Colombian as the Dutchman and INEOS have planned a squad overhaul following a poor 2023/24 season.
The source has also suggested that Palmeiras are not planning to budge easily despite knowing the value the midfielder holds in the eyes of multiple European giants, with AC Milan also reported to be interested in the talented player.
Palmeiras president have stated European must meet Rios asking price if they are to sign him this summer.
A transfer fee in the region of €70m was Palmeiras initial asking price, but the Brazilian could go lower, if astute negotiations are made with some profitable incentives. Man Utd could be encouraged to come back in for Richard Rios, if the deal conditions are favourable.
