Reasons Revealed: Ruben Amorim’s Man United Start Pushed Back

Manchester United’s newly-appointed manager, Ruben Amorim, has faced an unexpected setback as his start date at the club has been delayed due to issues with his work permit.

According to sources, the Portuguese tactician’s visa application is still being processed, forcing him to postpone his arrival at Old Trafford.

The delay is reportedly due to the UK’s strict immigration regulations, which require non-EU citizens to meet specific criteria to obtain a work permit. Amorim, who previously managed Sporting CP in Portugal, requires a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) from the Football Association to secure his permit.

A Manchester United spokesperson said: “We are working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We understand the importance of Ruben joining the team and are confident that the matter will be resolved shortly.”

Ruben Amorim is expected in England on Monday but can only begin his tenure at United once his work permit is approved.
