Revealed: Alphonso Davies’ Contract Demands as Manchester United Prepares to Offer a Blank Cheque

Alphonso Davies, the left-back for Bayern Munich, is again making headlines this week as Manchester United has shown serious interest in the Bayern star. The Canadian player’s contract expires next summer, allowing him to sign a pre-contract in January.
Reports from Germany indicate that Bayern Munich is not in active negotiations with Davies due to their belief that his salary demands of €20m (€10m net) are too high. Journalist Falk has confirmed that Davies still has aspirations of joining Real Madrid but would consider an offer from Manchester United if they were willing to meet his salary demands.
Manchester United is reportedly ready to make a strong push to sign Alphonso Davies ahead of Real Madrid.
During the summer transfer window, Manchester United demonstrated their financial prowess and decisiveness by outmanoeuvring Madrid to sign Leny Yoro from Lille.
Los Blancos were considered the favourites in the race for the Kylian Mbappe of centre-backs, but United raised plenty of eyebrows by agreeing a swift deal worth £52.18m, with £6.73m in add-ons with Lille to add Yoro to their ranks.
It appears that the Red Devils are prepared to make a significant investment to lure another long-standing target away from Madrid.
A report from Spain relayed by TEAMtalk reveals the Premier League giants will offer Davies a “blank cheque” to “abandon” the idea of joining the Spanish outfit and move to Old Trafford instead.
