Revealed: Aston Villa’s Loan Fee for Jadon Sancho
Villa Agree Loan Fee and Salary Portion for Sancho
Aston Villa has completed a season-long loan deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, with a club-to-club agreement said to be done.
The move, which would see Villa cover a significant portion of Sancho’s wages, is expected to be finalized before the transfer deadline.
Sancho, 25, has been frozen out of the Manchester United first-team, and a loan move has been seen as a priority for all parties.
While his high wages have been a hurdle for potential suitors, sources indicate that Aston Villa have agreed to a deal that includes a loan fee and a commitment to cover a substantial part of his salary.
The England international, who joined Manchester United for £73 million in 2021, spent last season on loan at Chelsea. The move failed to materialize into a permanent transfer, with Chelsea opting to pay a £5 million penalty fee to terminate their obligation to buy.
The transfer echoes a similar loan deal for Marcus Rashford last season, who also found success at Villa Park after being exiled from the Manchester United squad.
The move for Sancho is also linked to the potential transfer of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to Manchester United, with the clubs reportedly in talks over a potential swap or separate deals.
