Manchester United have reportedly reached a preliminary agreement to sign highly-rated Colombian youth international, Cristian Orozco, from Fortaleza CEIF for a transfer fee believed to be around £750,000.
The news, first reported by journalist [@PSierraR], signals a continuation of the Red Devils’ strategy to invest in top-tier global young talent, particularly from South America.
Orozco, a 17-year-old defensive midfielder, has garnered attention for his impressive performances as the captain of the Colombia U17 national team, who reached the final of the U17 South American Championship last spring.
Due to international transfer regulations regarding minors, Orozco will remain with his current club, Fortaleza CEIF, until he turns 18 next year. The move to Old Trafford is expected to be finalized in July 2026.
The reported £750,000 fee, while relatively modest, is viewed as a strategic investment for a player with significant first-team potential.
