Sporting Lisbon Fans Send Strong Message To Manchester United
Ruben Amorim has landed in Manchester ahead of starting work as Manchester United’s new head coach.

The 39-year-old will become the permanent replacement for Erik ten Hag, who was sacked two weeks ago. Ruud van Nistelrooy has led the team as interim manager for the last four games, winning three and drawing one.
It remains to be seen what the Dutchman’s future is, with Amorim bringing his coaching staff from his former role at Sporting Lisbon with him. Amorim and his staff flew into Manchester on Monday from Portugal to start work at their new club.
His assistants at Sporting, Carlos Fernandes, Adélio Cândido, Emanuel Ferro, Jorge Vital and Carlos Barreira, are yet to be confirmed as joining United, though it is a formality. Despite Van Nistelrooy’s successful spell as caretaker, United remain 13th in the Premier League table.
Amorim will also be handed a contract worth £6.5m per year with a mission to bring sustained success back to United. The 39-year-old is under no illusions as to the challenge he is facing at his new club.
In a heartwarming display of solidarity, Sporting Lisbon fans have sent a message of support to their former manager, Ruben Amorim, and his new club, Manchester United. On social media, Sporting Lisbon supporters have been sharing messages, videos, and photos wishing Amorim success at Manchester United.
