“They must play the United way” — Jason Wilcox Gives United Verdict
Jason Wilcox was announced as the new Manchester United technical director few months ago and already he ’s making himself known.

Present on Manchester United US tour alongside Omar Berrada and Dan Ashworth. Jason Wilcox has been so much invested in the new Manchester United project under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos.
But as the season is about to commence with Man Utd taking on Fulham at Old Trafford, Wilcox now handed Erik ten Hag an ultimatum and told him what he wants him to do this season.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Wilcox has now told Ten Hag that he must play the “new” United way of football from here on out.
This, the report adds, begins with a drastic change expected starting from Premier league opening day.
A possession-based style is what Wilcox has told Ten Hag he must adhere to over the next months.
Much of the criticism of United over the last few years of the Glazers ownership has been the lack of structure and no clear links between the coaches, recruitment, analysts, the academy and the board members.
Having people join the club who already have relationships – presumably positive ones – like Berrada does with Wilcox, will mean United can hit the ground running, and not lose further ground on the Premier League teams currently streaking away from them on and off the pitch.
As a lifetime supporter, I stand with Manchester United all the way to glory.
