Westbrom Close to Completing Deal for Man Utd Midfielder
Toby Collyer Set for West Brom Loan Move

Manchester United’s promising young midfielder, Toby Collyer, is on the verge of completing a season-long loan move to Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
According to reports from The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell, advanced talks are underway, with an agreement believed to be imminent.
The 21-year-old, who joined Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion’s academy in 2022, has been on the radar of several Championship clubs.
It appears that West Brom have won the race for his signature, with the player reportedly choosing the Baggies over other interested parties.
The opportunity to work under head coach Ryan Mason and the club’s clear ambition for a return to the Premier League are said to have been key factors in his decision.
Collyer made 13 senior appearances for Manchester United last season, featuring in both the Premier League and the Europa League.
Due to increased competition for places in the midfield and a lack of European football this season, a loan move is seen as the ideal next step for his development.
United’s management, including new head coach Ruben Amorim, reportedly believe that a full season of consistent first-team football in the Championship will be more beneficial for the youngster at this stage of his career than sporadic appearances at Old Trafford.
The deal is expected to be a straight season-long loan, with no option for a permanent transfer. This signals Manchester United’s continued faith in Collyer, who is tied to the club until 2027 with an option for an additional year.
