Man Utd Responds To Galatasaray Fresh £15m For Scott Mctominay

The Scotland international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, as they look to step up their pursuit for a new defensive midfielder.

McTominay is one United midfielder attracting interest from multiple clubs, but after making 43 appearances last season he made several positive contributions.

Haber Sarikirmizi cites comments Ali Naci Kucuk made to Raydo Gol when discussing Galatasaray’s pursuit of McTominay (H/t Sport Witness). The Turkish journalist claims the Super Lig giants, who Okan Buruk manages, have made an offer worth €15 million.

The report states that Man Utd want more like €30m for McTominay, so it’s anticipated that a compromise could be met with a deal worth around €20m, provided other clubs don’t also enter the running for him.

McTominay has had a decent career as a squad player at United, but he’s never quite established himself as a regular starter and probably isn’t quite good enough for that kind of a role at a club of this kind of size and ambition.
