New: Ruben Amorim’s Salary and Contract Clause At Man United

Ruben Amorim is poised to take the reins at Manchester United, with talks underway to secure his release from Sporting. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach has been identified as the leading candidate to succeed Erik ten Hag, who was sacked earlier this week.

Amorim’s impressive track record at Sporting, where he’s won two league titles and three Taca da Liga trophies, has caught the attention of United’s hierarchy. His attractive brand of football and strong personality are seen as key assets in revitalizing the team’s fortunes.

While an official announcement is yet to be made, sources suggest that Amorim is eager to take on the challenge of managing United.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will manage the game against Leicester City tomorrow while Ruben Amorim’s transfer from Sporting to United is finalised. Amorim is expected to be on the touchline when United face Chelsea this weekend.

The Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that Manchester United falls into the third category, meaning they would only need to pay €10 million to release Amorim from his contract in Lisbon. The other six clubs in this category are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Juventus.

TalkSPORT reported that if he makes the move, Amorim’s salary could more than triple. He currently earns around £2.15 million per year in Lisbon. Amorim will be offered a three-year contract at Man United with an option for a further year.
