Former Red Devils Boss Ten Hag on Radar of European Giant

Erik ten Hag, Borussia Dortmund

Erik ten Hag, the former Manchester United manager, is reportedly on the radar of top European clubs after his departure from Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United after two-and-a-half years as manager, with the team currently sitting 14th in the Premier League.

This decision comes after a dismal start to the season, with United winning just four of their 14 games. Ten Hag’s departure reportedly costs the club around £13.5 million.

Ruud van Nistelrooy took over as interim head coach while a permanent successor in Ruben Amorim was recruited.

Erik ten Hag’s managerial hiatus may be brief, as Borussia Dortmund have expressed interest in his services and could make a move before season’s end.

Spanish outlet Fichajes suggests he could be back at work soon. Indeed, Borussia Dortmund is said to be ‘watching his profile with interest’, but their performances under Nuri Sahin are lacking.

Ten Hag’s style could be a ‘good fit’ in Dortmund, meaning he is a potential candidate for a move before the end of the season if the trigger is pulled on Sahin.
