Manchester United Hit Back by Atalanta’s Demands For Ederson

Manchester United are considering a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson ahead of the winter transfer window, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils strengthened their midfield department with the purchase of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain during the last transfer window.

However, there could be another addition to the squad in 2025, considering Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have been tipped to head for the exit door.

Plettenberg claims that United are ‘discussing’ and ‘considering’ Ederson, who is ‘highly valued’ internally.

The club is seeking midfield reinforcements, and the Brazilian’s situation is one to monitor as the New Year approaches.

The Red Devils were interested in signing the 25-year-old last summer. They made a verbal offer of around £46 million which Atalanta snubbed. The Italian demands a higher fee in the region of £55 million.

Despite this, the clubs have ‘excellent’ relations. There is a possibility that United could return for the talented Brazilian depending on manager Ruben Amorim’s requirements.
