Man Utd Put off by €80M Price Tag for Versatile Midfield Target
Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, but they may need to pay a significant fee to secure his services.

Simons initially joined Leipzig on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, where his impressive performances and versatility led the German club to make the move permanent earlier this year for €50 million (£42 million).
According to Sky Deutschland, Leipzig will demand at least €80 million (£67 million) if Simons decides to leave this summer.
The Bundesliga side aims to make a substantial profit after acquiring him from PSG and will not entertain offers below their valuation.
Although Simons is contracted to Leipzig until 2027, there is speculation that the club might be open to negotiations.
United have been tracking Simons since last summer, with former manager Erik ten Hag expressing strong interest in bringing him to Old Trafford.
Despite the managerial change, with Ruben Amorim now at the helm, reports indicate that Simons remains a priority target as United look to rebuild their squad.
Manchester United current financial constraints could complicate any potential deal, as spending over €80 million on a single player may not fit within the club’s current budget.
