Flamengo Have Made Enquiries For Man Utd Forward On Loan

Brazilian club Flamengo have reportedly made an enquiry about the availability of Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri.

As per Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli, Brazilian Serie A side Flamengo are interested in signing the 22-year-old as they look to fortify their attack.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with the Uruguayan international looking for more first-team opportunities.

Flamengo are reportedly interested in signing Pellistri on loan, with the winger looking for more playing time.

Pellistri joined Manchester United in the summer of 2020 from Uruguayan club Penarol, but has struggled to establish himself in the first team.

United signed the player from Uruguayan side Penarol in 2020 for a reported fee of €8.5 million (£7.1m/$9.1m). However, he has failed to gain importance in the squad and it has fallen even further under Ten Hag, and the Red Devils will look to extend the contract make of the Uruguayan whose contract expires in 2025 and send him out on another season long loan.

The right winger has made just few appearances for the Red Devils, and has also spent time on loan at La Liga side. It’s clear that Pellistri needs more playing time to develop, and a loan move to Flamengo could be the perfect opportunity for him.
