Flamengo Reach Agreement in Principle for Man United’s Star

Casemiro’s Manchester United Exit Still on the Cards Despite Premier League Transfer Window Closure

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could still depart the club this winter, despite the Premier League’s transfer window having closed on February 3.

According to reports from journalist Jorge Nicola and Bolavip, Brazilian giants Flamengo are considering signing the 32-year-old on a loan deal.

The move would be possible due to the Brazilian transfer window remaining open until February 28.

Manchester United are reportedly on board with the deal, which would see Casemiro join Flamengo on a season-long loan. The Red Devils are even willing to take on a significant portion of the player’s salary to facilitate the move.

Casemiro’s stint at United has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

This season, he has made only eight appearances under manager Ruben Amorim and has been relegated to the bench for the club’s last five Premier League matches.

While Flamengo have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester United for the loan deal, the Brazilian club’s finances may pose a hurdle.

Casemiro’s wages are considered “risky” for Flamengo, which could potentially derail the move.

However, with United willing to subsidize a significant portion of his salary, the deal remains a possibility.

A departure from Old Trafford would bring an end to Casemiro’s underwhelming spell at Manchester United.

The Brazilian’s potential move to Flamengo would not only provide a fresh start for the player but also allow United to reassess their midfield options.
