Man United Player makes Return from Injury

An update on Altay Bayındır’s injury status has been given after he was unexpectedly absent from Manchester United’s recent FA Cup win over Leicester City.

Manchester United’s recent victory over Leicester City marked Rúben Amorim’s 10th win as head coach, just under three months into his tenure.

Amorim has now overseen 20 matches at the club, with growing concerns over United’s lack of attacking fluency against supposedly weaker opponents.

Bayındır injury update given

Before the match, many expected Altay Bayındır to be given another start in the FA Cup following his heroics against Arsenal in the third round, but the club confirmed on the morning of the tie that he would not be able to play.

It was explained that the 26-year-old had suffered a problem earlier that week and was unable to recover to make even the bench, with André Onana keeping his place in goal as a consequence.

With Tom Heaton also not available and Dermot Mee unavailable, this meant Poland-born summer signing Hubert Graczyk was granted a place on the bench.

However, the Manchester Evening News have now confirmed that despite Bayındır being unavailable against Leicester, the goalkeeper’s injury is thought to be minor.

Therefore, it’s expected that he will return to first-team on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur.
