Former Man United Full-back face Career Ending Charges

Former Manchester United academy star Brandon Williams, 24, has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving without third-party insurance following a high-speed crash.

Williams, who broke into the first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019, played 51 times for Manchester United, scoring one goal.

He was loaned to Ipswich Town last season, playing 17 matches before being released at the end of his contract.

The incident occurred while Williams was driving his Audi A3 with a female passenger, who recorded him reaching speeds of 99mph with a balloon in his mouth.

He lost control of the vehicle, colliding with a Ford Fiesta. Initially, Williams denied driving dangerously and was taken to the hospital after the incident.

He also attempted to blame another driver for the crash.Williams will be sentenced on May 9th at Chester Crown Court.

Andrew Madden, a senior crown prosecutor, stated that Williams’ driving “clearly fell far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver”.

Expert analysis showed Williams was driving at 99mph four seconds before hitting the Ford Fiesta, and witnesses reported he was speeding up and breaking sharply, indicating a lack of control.
